you can find this stuff at your local electronic shop called label adhesive remover and that should do the trick

just try a few different kind of solutions......

i used go-gone and my thumb (blistered it by the end) and got 99% of it HEAT GUN WOULD DEFINITLY HAD HELPED -(hence the blister on thumb by rubbing so much and making so much heat)

then i drove to Auto-zone with an outline still remaining.....
dude @ Autozone recommended some bug & tar remover but said, "just do it here in the parkinglot and if this stuff doesn't work come back in and i'll give you something else.."
... i didn't think it was gonna work, but sure enough... it was getting it off little by little..

brought the bottle back in..said thanx... dude puts it back on the shelf ..(lol, he really did) and i bounced out my only payment a head-nod between 2 fellow car-junkies)

i had same problem ina way. i goo goned it with 1 cloth, then used another like wool type of cloth, one that attracts crazy lint, and i scrubbed it off with that cloth dry, it rolls off the glue, then goo gone it with the other cloth, then use that dry lint cloth, i found out this combo with only 2 letters left! but worked like a charm
