Default painted lowers or hold out for ultrasport....

here's what my brain is chewing on...

thanks to a fellow audiforum member, i was able to get a stellar deal on painted lowers. now, i love how painted lowers look and will definitely be topping them off with a spoiler from the same guy jest got his from. but i really want the ultrasports.

the ultrasport front and rear bumpers, when all is said and done, will cost around 2k. now, maybe i am being stupid, but i think i just wanna hear you guys tell me it's worth it. should i spend the few hundred now to have my lowers painted, or save it and put it towards the 2k or so for the ultrasports?

i think the choice is obvious that for a few hundred, which i have right now, i should just do the lowers, get the spoiler and then i can start saving for the ultras...so while i'm saving up 2k my car can be in style with matching lowers.

definitely paint em now right?

I don't know.... is it really worth it to invest 2k in your car on visual affects when you can paint the lowers for a couple hundred and it looks sweet I think. Invest that 2k in engine or rims or system.

I think the stock b6 front bumper is ugly.

I would paint the lowers, and keep your eyes open for a used ultrasport front, or maybe even a sportec.

yeah flyin' you got the stock front painted i see. definitely not aggressive enough for my liking.

i do think that's a possibility, just changing the front bumper to ultra and leaving the rear stock. the stock rear with painted lowers and a spoiler does look pretty wicked.

i guess i'll be painting my lowers then. for the price i was quoted, i don't think i can go wrong. they'll likely be done in a month when i go back home.
