Default Please help - burping at 1.5k rpm

I have a 99 a4 2.8 quattro and was just in nyc over the blizzard weekend. The car sat in the road for ~28 hours and woudl not start. AAA came and gave me a jump which took a long time to catch. After trying to drive away, at 1.5k rpm it starts burping (for lack of a better word). If I press the gas harder the engine will rev but it it like it doesnt catch. I tried adding dry gas, gas treatment and fuel njection cleaner but still happening. AAA can't tow until tomorrow so I'm stuck in ny (~95 mile tow to ct). Any advic

Thanks in advance for the help.

I should also note that about a week ago I think it started burning some oil.

it sounds like a bad O2 sensor. a bad O2 sensor will send bad suignals and the computer will start to cut back fuel to the injectors

Try throttle body adjustment.

I think that I'm having the same problem-see "Trouble after jumpstarting my 1999 A4". Let me know what the diagnosis of your problem was- if you would. I'm obviously very interested. Thanks.
