Coolant Burping Procedure

Coolant Burping Procedure
I am going thru a frustrating experience, and hoping someone can help. Can't get the air out of my cooling system after changing the thermostat.
On my past Audi's, thermostats had the little air bleed hole at the top. This new one I got from the Audi Dealer for my 96 A6 Quattro, has no bleed hole.
Can anyone tell me how to get the air out of this thing??

RE: Coolant Burping Procedure
Run it for a long time with the cap off the reservoir. Dont fill it all the way either. If you have an air bubble it will overheat and the coolant level will rise. Just keep running it and eventually the system will burp and the level will drop down. Then you can top it. off.
