Folks,
I've seen this recommended as appropriate 60-80k maint, but cannot locate a tech article or how to... any suggestions or experience doing this? Many thanks.

Underneath the power steering reservior are two hoses. Disconnect them and drain the fluid out. You'll need to go buy some new hose clamps most likely because Audi uses the ones you have to cut off. Refill the tank and drive the car for a day or two. Then repeat the procedure again. That is the easiest way to flush out the system. Make sure you only use OEM mineral fluid. YOU CAN NOT NOT NOT put regular fluid in there or you'll burn the pump out ($$$$$).

Remove both hoses at reservoir. Put the hose that goes the pump in a container filled with new power steering fluid. Put the other hose in a drain bucket. Start engine. Just make sure you dont run out of clean fluid. You dont want to run the pump without fluid.
