Prelude vs. A4

RE: Prelude vs. A4
ya- like someone said, it will be a driver's race. the cars should be pretty close. the vtecs are kinda hard to drive quick since the low rpm torque is so weak- if you screw up just a little and don't get in the 5300rpm+ sweet spot right away it's game over. i had a manual g5 (last gen) prelude with true cold air intake, headers, catback and was probably only good for a 6.8sec 0-60 or so. i think the stock autos got rated in the mid to upper 7s. also, the autos have a slightly different engine with a little less hp but more tq- not enough to make a difference, though (less than +/- 5ish.)
i have heard that stickers makes cars go faster. maybe you can throw on a few to gain an upper hand?

Yeah, low torque on the acura/hondas suck but if he keeps the rpm needle high, and above 4K, could be tough...red line on acura/hondas are pretty solid...coming from a former rsx type s owner. Bite the bullet -- spend the $499 on an APR 91 octane chip. Bragging rights are well worth the few extra coin.
