It feels like its not going into the nextgear. If I punch the throttle the carfeels like it kicks in and thecar accelerates fine. But if I lay off and drive leisurely the transmission will continue to do this. Please help! THanks!

Default Problems shifting

I'll tell you the exact reason for shifting problem which is the common problem of Audi A4 1995-2002 (excluding B5 models in 2002). I suppose you see on the panel all the gearbox possitions redlighted on. Like, when the gear position is on (D)rive, on the panel it should show only D, but it shows all the positions on. The problem is shifter which costs in my country around 100 USD. But I'll tell you how to fix it without any change of details. You go to diagnostic center, they plug the comp to your car and reset the transmission error, that's it! But after that you should never shift the gear to 3rd and 2nd position manually, or if your car is a tiptronic one, don't use it, put only on D when you drive, it will do good. freelancer_samir@yahoo.com in case you wish to contact me.
