What's up guys, just wanted to say hi to everyone in the forum. I just bought a 99 2.8q3 weeks agowith 98k on it and i figured i better get on the audi forum. Ive had 3 2nd gen. Mazda mx-6s, one i turboed,and just got rid of my last one a week ago. i was in the car market for just about anything, but i happened to run into this gorgeous red A4 5-speed and ive been more than pleased with it!! These things are amazing cars just wish i wouldve waited for a 1.8t, but oh well. the V6 is pretty awesome too. glad to join the club, later

Congratulations on your purchase. Do you know when the timing belt and water pump was last replaced? If not, that is the first thing I would do on that car with those miles... just to be safe. I would also change the spark plugs, wires and O2 sensor if you have no record of that. This way you'll get the best performance and efficiency out the car.

Hey thanks for the maint. tips ill get on that stuff with the next check hopefully. i just changed the oil myself n even that was a breeze. thankfully i got a buddy from school with the same car but a 00', n hes gonna help with the timing belt. ill handle the rest except the water pump. is the pump an issue immediately?? the car had a carfax but it expired so i cant look it up now, but i know it had great maint. records just not sure what they were.... this baby gets tons of looks too, ill try n get pics soon for u guys but im not real computer savvy
