i cant really relate to an audi CAI butI used to own a WRX and people claim the same thing about CAI's on those cars but I got one anyways and I believe it was worth every penny spent. It gave me a good sound and the throttle response was much better...
Now I dont know about $400 on the carbonio, Maybe just get an ebay one with the kn filter... a metal pipe is a metal pipe no matter how you look at it.

should the check engine light shut off by itselft... because it turned on while running the car with out the maf plugged in....
or do i have to clear it myself

you know how the sensor it self is paper thin... it has line runing down on it every like maybe 1 mm or so.... well while cleaning it the one all the way on the left( or righ, depends which way you looking at it) broke off... leaving the remaining still standing.... that strip didnt completly break off... im pretty sure it still has a little tiny piece there...
Got it. As long as its paper thin and very small.. Because you dont want your turbo/intake sucking in any chunks of metal. The CEL should eventaully turn off by itself as long as there are no more problems. Probably a good idea to get your ecu cleared of any fault codes though anyway.
