Default Question about chips

I was just wondering if the chips are just the same on both US-Spec and European spec cars. For example, would the APR Chip for the 2.0T FSI engine in the US also work with cars with the same engine abroad? Will there be any differences or compatibility issues?

Thanks

That is a question best left for APR/Nuespeed/MTM. I havn't seen any information as to whether the ECU's are different. I'm sure they are slightly different due to emissions requirements.

Actually, I'm from Asia, and the 2.0T engine is just coming out. Not quite sure if we have the European or US engines, or something else. I emailed APR and they said that they would have no problems. (Just have to ship the ECU to them) Can anywhere who is outside the US confirm that this works?
