quick fuel filter question ....

Default quick fuel filter question ....

i am getting my car looked at this weekend and i was thinking about changing the fuel filter ... how long of a job is this ? or should i just try it myself instead of paying for it? i haven't done much on cars but am pretty good at figuring things out... thanks ... also i don't have acess to a lift ... only the good ol car ramps

It is a bit of a pain, as it is tucked above the fuel tank and you have to partially drop the tank to access it.

Takes 30 min. See Audiworld writeup for more info. Make sure you have the right star bit and racheting box end wrench.

Thats why i said thank god i got the FWD model. The filter is on the frame rail right under passenger rear door. took ten minutes for me! haha

^^^whatever, you got torque steer ha! lol

Unless you got the right torx or hex bit that strap isnt gonna loosen. I got everything out the way just to find out I don't have the right tools[:@]

could a newb to mechanical stuff do it .... i did the snub mount mod but that's about it ... ?
