Hey guys i'm a bit confused here. I just replaced my fuel filter cause when i would start my car up it would make this swoosing or bubbling sound (sorry its the best i can explain it) . After i replaced it on saturday i noticed it lastnight again. Its last anywhere from 10-15 seconds. I was just curious if this is something to worry about. The car seems to be running fine still so if you all could help me with your suggestions it would be great. Thanks alot

 

it could be the fuel pump

 

Mine makes that same noise every so often and has been doing it since I bought it almost two years ago now. Doesn't seem to be anything to worry about as far as I'm concerned. Kind of sounds like its purging air back into the tank.

 

Mine does it to and I've always thought of it as the tank pressurizing. Only seems to happen when I've just filled up and had the cap off.

 

Ok well that makes me feel better. Mine only does it if i haven't started my car in a while, in other works if i just drove it and shut it off then start it back up it wont do it. Thanks guys. I was getting kinda worried cause it's a brand new filter that i put in and i want to replace the fuel pump.
