My power steering is leaking out because my rack and pinion seal is shot so it just keeps leaking through. Anyways, I found out from a shop that the part is $642 and $65 hr to fix. That is to insane for me, does anyone know where I can get a cheap one? I doubt no one will, but if so, please let me know, I would be your slave forever!

Are they replacing your entire rack? Not sure what the cost is, but its prob pretty expensive. I have never replaced one, but it looks like a PITA. I am not saying you are getting a good price, but it may not be unreasonable.

Find out what they actually plan on doing and how many hours they will charge to do the work.
