I don't know, just kinda found a trend here. last time I got a CEL it was raining and it was telling me that the cats weren't doing thier job (maybe cus there not there)"caugh" ANyway, rained again today and soon as i hit a pudle, "bing" nice little amber light. Kinda sucks cus I can't stand looking at it. but I guess I will just go get is scaned and find out what its bitching bout this time.

 

Possible wet sensor? Friend had a problem like that. Not a Cat problem, but had his CEL go off every time he hit a puddle.... Vag it up

 

yeah, well the cats arent there cus I took them out myself, but Maybe, I was thinking the same thing.

 

I have a really weird wet-weather problem, too. When it's really raining and I've been driving in a lot of rain for a while, like half an hour or so, I hear a really deep rumbly/buzzy vibration. It peaks in intensity when I'm around 3K RPMs and is louder in lower gears. In first gear at 3K RPMs it's insistent enough to vibrate the coins in my coin tray. The more throttle, the more noise. It sounds like it's coming from two feet ahead of the passenger seat or so. I have no idea what it might be. It's only after i've been driving in very substantial rain for a good amount of time. If anyone can clue me in, I'd appreciate it.

Well, I went and got the code pulled and it was the same two that came up last time, I guess, my car just likes doing it in the rain, inseficant cat bank 1 and 2, maybe cus they arent there, but what do I know. anyway.

 

haha thats funny i got same problem.... cept i replaced the right side cat witha magnaflow but the left is still F*CKED so whenever it rains or i idle for a long time it yells at me [&:]
