hey guys, i pickedup a 99 a4 2.8 quattro with a bad differential for $500. I bought a rear end diff. off an 01 passat "quattro"...im in the middle of the swap and the "hub bolts"?(not sure what to call them) but they around 6mm big and have like 10-12 divetts...the torx i was using is stripping them...

my question is: is there a special tool i need for these bolts...anyone with any experience on this subject?

 

12 points would be a triple square. Its not really a special tool but they are kinda hard to find. You wont find it at your local Sears. Just do a google search for triple square and tools and youll find what you need.
