removing pin striping?

Default removing pin striping?

i want to remove my pin striping because it looks gay.

whats the best way to do it? i figured heat it up with hair dryer and slowly peel it off, clean in up with goo gone...

anyone else have experiance doing this?

I know people have done this before and I'm pretty sure their method was very similar to what you suggested.

your good to go if theres not a clearcoat over the pin stripe.

3M also makes some stuff to remove them.

I detail cars for a living.. you are pretty much ok to use a heat gun and your fingernail. It's time consuming but least damaing to your car. Any of the chemicals available will affect the other layers of paint so I wouldn't recommend them.

Best way to debadge a car is to use teeth floss and some non abrasive adhesive remover. Works like a charm.

I took the stripes off of my car. In cold weather just use the hair dryer as you go and you can peel them off one section at a time (fender, doors, etc...). Once they are warmed up they come off like butter.
