revo???
Im with badluckaudi and flyinb5 on this... "Useable hp" and facts are key. GIAC seems to have an edge on all other chips as far as useable power goes, but i have heard nothing but good things about revo+b6 which tells me its a similar tune. I have been in a GIAC and APR tuned B5 and even though APR calims higher #'s for their chip, GIAC feels WAY better and agressive and puts the power in the most convenient spots. APR's power is very spread out over the rpms and its peak power is barely useable in daily driving from my experience. Im pretty much convinced APR over rates their #'s for their chips. You can get a taste of their over advertisement tactics by visiting their website and viewing any product description. But thats not to say they are a bad company or have bad products. Not trying to turn this into an APR vs GIAC thread, but I have heard from many sources that Revo or GIAC is the way to go with the B6.
That's what I'm sayin, its not about all about the numbers that the companies claim on their site. When I first bought my b5, and I didn't know a damn thing about Audi's, I was torn between APR, and GIAC. APR claimed 10 more hp on their site, and I was having trouble choosing GIAC in spite of this. I did though because there was a GIAC dealer near by, and I was very happy with my decision. Now I look back and I think its hilarious that I was having so much trouble choosing GIAC just because of some stupid numbers from some websites that really don't mean much. Unless the same car, dyno, temperatures, gas and everything is used between the different programs it is almost impossible to really see what company has better gains. There are just way to many variables when coming up with these numbers so a 5 hp difference really doesn't say ****.
