APR or Revo for ATW
I am wanting to get my ecu flashed and trying to decided between Revo or APR, any have any suggestions or dynos of either with ATW engine? Just doing stage 1, and all else on the car stock except going to 710n diverter. Also to make boosting a little more audible what would I need to do?
Is there a local tuning shop? It's often a good idea to go with whatever software the local tuning shop offers in the case that anything goes wrong. For example, the shops near me use GIAC software, and GIAC is 5mins from where I work. Obvious choice.
Both APR and Revo are going to have similar gains. There could be a 5hp gain from one over the other but it would be such a minor amount that it isn't worth fussing over IMO.
Some people "swiss cheese" the lower portion of the airbox to make the intake more audible. Optionally you can install a cone filter to replace the stock airbox.

I personally have GIAC since stage 1. Make sure you don't have any leaks before you chip the car.
Like MetalMan said, Swiss cheese mod or a cone filter (with a heatshield of course) would help to get the turbo "louder". If you want more, drill some holes on the fender liner (intake side).

Another bonus point for GIAC is they don't charge money when you upgrade to different software on the same car. Similar to krip I've had GIAC since Stage 1. When I got the GIAC PC-16 tune I didn't have to pay for the tune, just had to pay for the labor to have my ECU flashed.
