RPM Bouncing\Ignition Cuts Out
Hi
I have a 1996 1.6 Audi A4. Last year I noticed that if the car had not been driven for more than a few hours. e.g. the morning time that it would start and the engine would turn over and then it would cut out. I would need to start the engine maybe 4 or 5 times before it would start and stay started. I also noticed that if the car was lying idle that the RPM Clock would jump up and down as if I was tapping the accelerator. The third and final thing i noticed was if I put my foot down all the way on the accelerator that it would often hang and the car would suffer a severe loss of power. I took the car into the Audi Dealer and they told me that the Ignition Sensor was gone. They fixed it and the problem looked to have gone away for awhile.
Unfortunately now again less than 6 months later I'm starting to have the exact same problems. Has anyone seen this before?
Thanks
Monto
