totally normal - however whenever you change your rotors you should always change pads.

Actually this is not true. the reason brake shops do this is to sell you more. you always want to have something already broke in to help brake in a new brake. ex. old rotors and new pads. or new rotors and old pads. once the new part is broke in you can get the other part replaced. If replaced at the same time your brakeing distance will increase b/c rotors have break in period to take full advantage of them and so do pads.

I do alignments for a brake place on the weekends.

How do you bed the pads to the rotor? Do you slam the brakes?

Take the car up to 50 mph and firmly press the brakes to bring you to 5 mph without locking up the wheels and without stopping the car. Repeat 10 times.

PS. don't stop immediately after the last time. Let brakes cool . the idea is not to get brakes too hot, but to get the pads and rotors bedded.

In another topic. What do you use for your wiper blades? Do you get them from the dealer?
