Should i spend money on getting the apr stage 1+ for my b6 audi a4 or should I just stick with the stage 1. And I am getting apr just because there is a dealer right next to my house.

OK, I have a 06 A4 2.0T FSi... i have been looking around and doing a bit of research on what chip and DV to get. I have read a couple of posts concerning the DV (most is over my head), but i think i get the basics. Anyway, looking into a Revo chip, however, does anyone know what is the deal with the dealership warrenty? The place i was going to get the chip from, said if i needed to bring it in to the dealership he could hook it up and take it out and they wouldnt know it was ever there. Is this true? Also, with the DV what is the difference with going with just the spacer or the full set up? And if the dealership sees it am i screwed or what? Not sure if anyone has any experience with warrenties or not, but if you do please let me know. Also with the increased power, torque and boost, what else do i need to consider in terms of the additional stress that is going to be put on the car? Also, if anyone has any info on an STS and whether is is worth the money let me know. Im a little new so take it easy on me. haha. Any info on specific parts that works well together? Thanks

First, Revo is a flash, not really a physical chip. Used to be that tuners had to write their code to a PROM (chip) and physically install the chip on the ECU board. Now, most are simple flashes. Revo loads all their programs in a single file and then sells the SPS switch so you can switch from performance to stock, etc. Anyway, the dealer will probably not check to see if you are "chipped" unless you come in with a major engine problem. However, it's always a good idea to switch back to stock when taking it in.

Is the SPS worth it. Probably. Good luck.

Generally, the 710 should work well. However, at higher boost, you may benefit from an aftermarket DV. But I thought the 2.0T FSi didn't use the 710 but something else. Forge Motorsport has a new DV for your car.
