what did you have this morning CLConversion? I have never seen you act like this before. The 0-W40 Mobil 1 is actually recommended for all European car.

Dudley does the manual recommend 5w-30 or 0-40...? I thought it was 5w-30, but i could be wrong. and if it is 5w-30 why do others use 0-40?

Any engine oil that meets ACEA A3 or A5 is good.

Audi recommends 5W40. The 0W40 is better in the winter for cold start, but not much better than 5w40. I use 10W40 Royal Purple in the summer and 5W40 Bardahl XTC in the winter. I may use Mobil 1 0W40 all year round since I can get it from a local store near my house. I have to order the RP or Bardahl special and I have to buy them in boxes.
CLconversion - No problem! You just have to be patient with some people here especially the new guys. WE were in their shoes once before.
