Got my new coil pack in today and HOLY BOOST BATMAN!!!! Much better, no poppin at high rpms anymore and when I put it to the floor and the K04 spools up, it feels like I'm getting pulled by something.. DAMN and thats when its ove 100 degrees outside. Tonight is gonna rock!! WOOOOOHOOOOOO

 

Cool... So did you ever get a k04 chip? Or is this still on ak03 chip?

my buddy had the same exact problem with his evo 8..i think he was runnin to lean at higher rpms or somethin though

How did you know that was the culprit? Were you getting the popping at highway speeds when you would get off the gas, or only when you are shifting? This got me curious.

I only heard the popping under load. Whenever I floored it. If you hear popping after you let off the gas its not a coilpack I dont think. Unfortunately I am still on K03 software. Im still getting the runaround on the K04 file. They have to make one for me but say I need like another 2-3000 dollars in supporting mods that should not be neccisary so F that. Im gonna see if maybe I'd be better off going revo but for now running it on my K03 software its very nice and OMG my DV is loud. I'll have to take new videos of it
