hey guys anyone have the problem of the shifter going into triptronic mode when making a left turn? My shifter is really look no resistance. i am looking at the parts list and they have 3 diffrent shift repair kits.
Part # 4b0 798 151a which has bushings and clips
Part # 4b0 798 135 which includes some clips
part # 4bo 798 151 which includes a magnet
if anyone can help please please do. thank you

 

tiptronic is the name no idea though automatics are not my 4t

 

sounds like the magnet to me, only one way to find out - take it apart

 

Does the actual shifter move when you turn, or is it just that the car goes into tiptronic mode. If it is the latter, most likely the magnet sensor has shifted or fallen loose. You may not need to order any parts. Open it up and see what has fallen off.

 

the shifter acutally moves when i make the left turn. i already bought a new cover strip w/ magnet.
