Default Short circuit on windshield washer level sensor

Hey everyone,

My windshield pump decided to fail on me for the 2nd time in like 5 months. I'm tired of replacing it, because it still works fine; the reservoir just can't hold as much fluid because of the leak. So I'm taking care of this problem permanently by short-circuiting the level sensor and hopefully that will irradicate the freakin raging vulcano that I see on the display every day. Problem is, I have no idea how to do it since electric is not really my stuff. Can anyone give me some pointers or know of some writeup about it?

Thanks in advance!

Your right on the money. Just create a short circuit. The wires use the washer solvent to complete the circuit. No solvent equals and open circuit and a light. Couple ways to do it. You could disconnect the sensor and use a paper clip to jump the two terminals. Kinda hard to make that water tight. You could also cut the wires and connect them together. Just be sure to leave enough wire to reconnect the wires to the connector if you every decide to go back to stock.

Why not fix the leak?
