Default Side Airbag

Hello to All,

New member here and am I glad I found this site! I've done some searches and looked around and can't find the info I'm looking for so thought I'd ask.

I need to access the connection to the side airbag on the driver front seat. How do you remove the panel on the back of the seat?

TIA, Jim

It depends on what model you have, B5 or B6? You would have to remove the seat to gain access to the wiring, or at least tilt the seat backwards. All the wiring comes up through the floor, the connector in yellow is the air bag.

Thanks tech79.

It's a B5, the seat needs to be removed to access? I just need to check the connection.

Regards,

Jim

Yeah un-bolt the seat and tilt it backwards, you should see the harness coming up through the floor.

i think it's a B5, correct?
airbag light is on, not sure which airbag or why. i was told tech bulletin suggest using dielectric grease on connector for side airbags (yellow connector under seats), been there done that, light is still on.
