So in all honesty, how good is Quattro in snow?
Quattro also kicks *** in the mud, believe it or not. I brought my car hunting a couple weekends ago, well, I drove it to camp anyways, and the roads (if you want to call them that) were muddier than hell. I was pissed at the time because no one told me how muddy and how much of a road it really wasn't, but my dad's Chevy Silverado was having a hard time in 4WD, whereas my audi didn't spin tire, until I did a couple donuts in the field next to camp to try to lose some of the mud on my car.
I love mine in the snow -- really, I look forward to the snow because the car kicks *** in it! When I got my Audi I still had a '92 FWD Isuzu Trooper and the Audi was definately superior. Now, in 2' of snow it might have been a different story, but in 8" -- Audi hands down!
EDIT -- BTW -- in winter i roll on 4 blizzaks.

with good tires and an easy foot, youll drive through the snow like a champ, i did last year, looking forward to going again this season. But considering Bear or anyother local mountain havent even begun to recieve any snow, looks like ill have to be heading up the 395 to mammoth.
Quattro is way fun in the snow. Especially doing donuts. Just dont do them in a parking lot that is sloped. When you get it high centered in deep snow, its a little hard to get out. Thank god for short shifters and fast shifts into 2nd or I wouldve had to wait until the snow melted.
