Hey guys,

Long time lurker, first time poster. Such a great site with tons of info. Long story short, the spare tire from my 2001 Audi A4 1.8T Quattro is missing.

Problem is, I'm not sure if it was a full wheel like the rest on the car (it has the multi spoked 15" stock rims) or just a donut. Any ideas what was in there originally and how/where I can replace it most cost efficiently?

If it was just a donut type, any idea what kind of specs I need to replace it?

I think (not 100% sure) that all Quatros came with a full size spare. Might be wrong though. If you have an owner's manual it might give you the specs in there. Easiest solution would be to locate a single rim that matches what is on your car now (either with a good tire in the same size as is on your car or just a bare rim and have a tire installed). Not sure if Audi ever used a steel rim for a spare, but that could be an option as well. Local salvage yards would be a good place to try.
