SpeedTuning Chip Group Buy *GOOD UNTIL Dec. 23*
Aaron, I got the spare ECU from a Passat today. I plugged it in, and it worked fine. I actually drove home with it in the car. I got it for $125. I called Oliver today and he said to have me contact you and put me on the list. He said for me to just send $130 ($125 + $5 for return shipping) to him in a money order with the ECU, and that way you don't have to go out of your way to get the $ to him. So, basically I'm in too. I'll try to get it sent out by US PriorityMail tomorrow morning. How do you like driving with your car chippedso far?
not sure on the price for that. I do know that oliver owns a 2.0T b7 so I'm sure he should have it. Go ahead and call him and say you are from the Group Buy with Aaron. He'll give you a fair price and tell you what to do!
Bogie:
Love it man, I can feel such a difference. Feels smoother over all too. I am definitely happy with the results.

since the pre 1999.5 chips have to be soldered on, can we have this chip sent to us after sending the money?
so, I could have the chip installed by a local performance shop?
I drive everyday, I cant send in my ECU

I am doubting they have spare ECU's, and if they do it will definitely be more than the $125. Call Oliver and ask, but I'm guessing you'll have to be without your car for a couple days. As long as you pay before Dec. 23rd you can wait and schedule your chipping whenever you'll have time.

I am talking about the actual chip itself, not the ECU. Can they send that ... so I can have it soldered on myself?
