Default squeak

Alright, the squeaking i'm getting is def not the brakes. I got into the habbit of letting down the windows now and I've noticed this squeak every time I hit bumps in the road. It's not like it'll happen sometimes and others not....every time. Does it just mean connections should be oiled? Does a shock squeak when it goes bad? Any ideas?

haha welcome to the club, my L/F is the same. Most likely its a control arm, get under there and check it out. Look for oil on the shock itself and push down on the car to see if it bounces excessively. Shocks do squeek when they go bad but its not a common thing on audis, control arms are, how many miles are on the car? Oh and you can't grease the control arms on an audi[:@]. Well the upper can but you'de have drill and fit a nipple. Just replace them.

Mine has a squeak in the rear end on the drivers side. It happens when going over bumps... could be an end link?

Quick question, could there be another reason for the squeak? The steering is very tight still. could the door hinge be loose causing the seals to rub and make noise? just speculating here. I'm still not convinced about the control arms or the bushings. mileage seems too low to me (58000)
