Default starting when wet

Hello

i have an Audi A4 2.0 se 2002 35,000 miles

when i wash the car i have trouble starting it! it will start perfect in freezing temp!

so it must be some sort of water problem but i don't know where to start!

other than this the audi runs perfect its a superb car im just worried that having to turn it over for a while after washing it will damage the starter and maybe more?

does anyone else have this problem? or if anyone can help i would be grateful. thanks

what engine do you have, 2L? then check under the hood when you wash your car if anything becomes wet. I check it by puting toilet paper around, wet the car and see where it becomes wet.
and by the way, what hapens to the car when it is wet for you, excluding no starting.

What do you mean by trouble starting?

Slow cranking over?
Just a clicking noise?
Starts but have to keep holding the key to keep it started?
