Default steering sound question

Hey guys,
I notice a sound once in a while when i am turning/steering my car (left or right). BTW i have 99 2.8 Q Tiptronic. anyway its like a "KISH" sound. Like if i have turned to far. Its sounds like gas (compresed air..not oil). Any ideas on what it could be? i know its hard if you havent heard it. Could it be tie rod ends? Just thought u guys know what it might be...

That's why... you have too much steering fluid. Jest was on the right track with you. That kind of sound is the pump.

Try to remove some of the excess fluid. Other than that, don't worry too much about it.

regardless of how much fluid is in your reservoir, if the steering wheel is fully turned in either direction you're going to hear the pump. it's not good for your car, you should avoid doing that if possible...
