Default Stock Boost

Yesterday I installed an AWE boost gauge. After the install was complete, I took it for a test run. In Park idle, gauge was showing -20 inhg, put in gear and it was -18 inhg. Driving the car around yesterday, the maximum boost was 14. This morning on my way to work, boost was maxing out at around 12, when I got to the parking lot and parked the car, idle was at -22 inhg and in gear is -20 inhg which is a tad lower than when I tested it yesterday, are these readings normal?

Looks good to me but I'm not 100% sure what the stock or chipped boost readings should be for a 2.0T. Vacuum readings look fine.

Between -22 and -20 is normal. I think mine sits at -22.

What chip are you running?

Don't forget that outside air temps will affect your boost. What was the temps yesterday when you were driving and today?

The car is not chipped yet, yesterday afternoon, it was in mid 70's. This morning it's in the lower 70's, a little humid

Its a B7.

I wouldn't worry about the readings. Give yourself a week to get used to the readings. The PSI reading will also be different depending on how hard you get on the pedal.

So it's safe to say a B7 runs 12-14 psi stock?
