strange issue at 3k rpm
ok my car is in limp mode it was misfiring a bit ago and i just go my make shift ignition up (make shift ignition system: cut out my whole ignition system because all my wire were spliced and it wouldent start so i reinulated every wire with electrical tape) now it starts misfireing at around 3k i know im in limp mode because i boost only 5psi could limp mode be causing it?
Well did you fix your ignition wiring harness yet? If you have it wired wrong or have too much resistance in the circuit going to the coils it won't have enough spark to ignite the mixture at higher boost levels.
I would get a new engine wiring harness first and see what happens.

You can use an automatic engine wiring harness just fine, just tape up the transmission connectors.

What apr_a4 wants to know is if the ATW 2000 1.8Tharness will work on his 2001 A4 1.8T

ATW is a 2000 A4 1.8T engine code, it has nothing to do with being an automatic/standard transmission.
