Strange starting problem for 1.8T-1996
Hi Guys,
Brand new to this Forum.
I have an interesting problem with my A4 1.8T Petrol - 1996.
The car will start for 1/2 second and almost immediately die as if the ignition has been turned off. The problem does not always happen but sometimes is a cow to get going even after repeated attempts - always the same symptom though.
Once going the car is faultless.
The last-chance method to get the car started is to floor the throttle and turn the key. The engine coughs into life one cylinder after another, but always goes from cold using this despiration method.
Do you have any ideas? As my electrical knowledge is bad. I am pretty good at the mechanical stuff.
