Default Strange issue - please help!!

I posted this earlier today and did not really receive any info on possible causes. I have a 2001 2.8 quarto and when I'm on the highway accelerating the ESC light flashes and a loose power briefly and then it goes away. I'm not going around a curve; I'm on a straight road accelerating. Any thoughts?

Tons of possibilities here, the abs module is going out, the longitude or latitude sensor is bugging out, the brake light switch is seeing faulty signals and so on.
You have to get the fault codes checked, if it doesn't communicate with the abs module but communicates with then engine the abs module is bad.

Thanks for the info....it's very helpful. Any idea how much an ABS module costs? Would that cause a slight lose of power?

It won't cause a loss of power, but it could apply the brakes because it thinks your sliding out or something but i doubt that. Get it checked out and get that fixed, it may or may not fix your loss of power concern.
