striped drain plug...
I feel so stupid for this (so don't flame me) but I over tightened the drain plug previously and 3000 miles later,I just found that out that the plug is completely stripped while doing oil change...
Don't ask how I did it... last I changed the oil, it was too cold so I didn't bother using torque wrench thnking that it would be fine...and I feel real stupid for doing that...[sm=headbang.gif]
It's stripped and won't come off... Is there a way to salvage it still or do i need to replace the oil pane? [sm=boohoo.gif]
Any helpful tip is appreciated...

I did that last summer. I went to sears, bought a bolt extractor 1/2" socket and got it off that way. As you keep turning, it digs deeper into the bolt, it came right out for me after that.
no no no the pan is aluminium. use a helicoil kit from autozone, pepboys, and autmotive store near u. i stripped a bolt in my pan tried to re tap it and it didnt work bc it was aluminium and i used that kit and what a life saver. if that fails i have a oilpan i can sell u
