Stumped with battery

Batteries need to have the electrolyte checked a couple of times a year and be topped up with distilled water. If the level falls, you will lose voltage. If the level falls below the top of the plates, you can get rapid bridging of the plates and lose the ability to hold a charge.

you shoulhave a look at you electrolite conditon
the level can be up and everything but it must have
a Specific Gravity level of 1.225 min you test that with a
Hydrometer, thats if the caps can be removed
If not re move it and try get it on a slow charge, try not
to heat it up to much

I replaced the battery and all is fine. Starts even better than it did-obviously because of the battery. I had an Autobahn in there-appeared to be factory. It had an AUDI stamp on it. I guess 8 years on a battery is pretty good. Thanks for all of your comments/help.
