Default Synthetic Oil question

Hey all

I have a question for yall what is the difference of synth mobil 1 5w40 vs synth Mobil 1 5w50. For the ones that have used both oil please comment & let me which one is better for the engine. I used synth 5w40 for my car but I just saw the synth 5w50 with the label saying more performance, so I thought maybe this new oil is more better for the engine. So let me know anything.

The 0W40 meets the newest Audi standards, the 5W 40 Mobil 1 doesn't. Chemically, I don't know the difference. No harm will happen if you have used the 5W 40..after all it is good oil
