think i found a good HID kit on ebay...
well from the pictures they put on the site 10000K looks like a very cool bluish color that's why I said 10000k, but anyway that wasn't my question. My question was what is the difference in the kits they have, cause they have like 20 different kits you can choose from..
Different "K" (temperature) ranges have different amounts of light output, you sacrifice lumens (light output) if you want them closer to purple. The lower the temperature you get the closer the color is going to be to yellow, the higher, the close to purple (or violet actually)... from (close to) one end of the light spectrum to another, its all personal preference, I personally have always wanted Yellow HID's, but practicality wise, they wont work.... I'm buying HID's because I want the road to be lit up at night, the last thing I want to do is hit a deer in my car (damn montana). And I could care less about what people think of the headlights on my car, but yes HID's are pretty "gangsta".
you want to choose the kit that has a bulb number that matches your factory bulb.
Ask for an 8000K kit, with (look in your owners manual or online) bulb # (insert bulb number here), and you should be golden, or give them a call and I'm sure they can help, they have an excellent reputation here on audi forums.
