Default Thinking about buying a A4 1.8T

I thinking about selling my gas drinking Chevy Z71, and getting an A4 1.8T. I am thinking about something in the 2001 - 2004 range. I'm not looking to spend a lot of money. Just want something that is fun to drive back and forth to work. I don't know a lot about Audi's and wanting to know how maintance intensive they are. I have always bought my wife BMW's and love them. I just don't really want a 3 series. I know that BMW's are really expensive to maintain after they go out of warranty. Every time something broke it was $500 bucks or more. Brake pads have to be replaced every 30k or so, ect. I am just wanting to know what I am getting into. Thanks in advance.

Lol, its not all that bad, parts will cost alot...BUT!!! if you know where to go, you can find a **** load of parts alot cheaper And it can also be alot cheaper if you DO YOU OWN WORK but otherwise yeh places will charge up the *** and parts will come expensive, and even the places where you find them cheaper they will still be more expensive then other cars but atleast their cheaper then dealership price right? haha

bascially im guessing you already know what you are getting your self into, no doubt, and the year you want will def. jack up the prices on parts so really its up to you cause you know your gonna be spending a lot of money regardless i mean its a Audi for gosh sakes. But there are cheaper places to goto you just have to find them, even for the BMW. So all and all you just have to look i know most of the parts for my car i got way cheaper then dealership price and installed for free because i do my own work.

So since your not doing your own work, you might find a cheaper part but you will still pay up the *** to fix it so either way your gonna be paying alot!!

The way I look at it, you reallyhave toLOVE Audis to want to have to deal with the stuff that comes with them. They aren't one of those cars that you say, "that looks like a nice car, I think I'll try it out." They may not be as expensive as BMW's but they sure as hell aren't cheap. To a lovingowner like myself though, totally worth it.
