i am going to change my exhaust over to MagnaFlow... but im just curious... is there different series mufflers, like there is with flowmaster? the one i am planning to order is part # 14616, i dont know if that helps anyone. but i guess my question is, which muffler did u get and if u have a part # that would be awesome... thanks

I got the same one you are looking at the 14816. I had it with no resonator for a while, but hte drone was out of control. You couldnt even har the radio when n the highway. I had to put a super quiet resonator and a regular resonator to get the tone I wanted. Now it sounds awesome.

i am doing a custom setup, so i am not getting a muffler with tips.... it will be a different look, which i much prefer... i will post pics when done... but is a resonator reccomended when putting a magnaflow muffler on? i dont want it to be obnoxious when on the highway.... i would like to be able 2 talk 2 my passengers without having to yell, ya kno what i mean

Lucky, your not going to get it that loud, Trust me.Use a resonator to keep the sound deep and smooth. I will be using a standard ovalmuffler from Magnaflow

It has less of a ricer sound to it and gives you the throaty sound that magnaflow is all about.

PS I have a pair of 11236's on my v8 914 porsche, The sound is pure power..
