i got a reckless in CT coming home after finals, iwas doing 62 in a 40. instant court appearamce, i get there DA says any one uidner 70 pays 25 flat rate. i go in front she asked what happened, im i was fried after finals wasnt paying attention. she sent me on my way.

a radar detactor only really gives you a heads up if the cop is lazy and is using radar. If they are off the side of the road and using a gun, your only going to get notice that you are screwed and just got hit.

 

Actually good radar detectors like the escort and valentine one picks up thier radar before they can clock you so it does give you a little time to slow down to the speed limit, but thats only if your going about 10-20mph over the limit, if your doing 100mph your f****d!
Also i drove cross country twice with mine doing about 100mph the whole way and didn't get a ticket, it works great on the highway especially when the cop is coming in the either direction, thats when i get hit with radar the most.

Nah, my Valentine One picks up 90% of the cop cars that I see just cruisin'. It is always a nice little heads up if I'm not paying attention. It has saved me quite a few times.
