they all do both but a laser is pointed in a line and the rader admits a larger area, thats why you can detect it for 1/2mile+ away.

Yeah if you get hit with a lazer alert your screwed, but the good news is i have only been hit with a lazer alert once across the country, and that was in virginia where radar detectors are completely illegal.

Laser scramblers haven't been made illegal yet! It's hilarious why, too! See, radar jammers are illegal because it's an unlicensed broadcast, and the FCC made it illegal to broadcast on those frequencies without a license. Also, it's illegal to intentionally jam signals whether they be radar, tv, cell phone etc etc. However, lasers are regulated by the FDA, and not the FCC and right now, they don't give a rats *** about anything other than regulating food coming from China. So, get your laser scramblers while you can!

people in england use to use garage door openers to mess up the lasers and then that got outlawed real fast.

how do you have a k04 and you just got the car? bought it already modded?

good job with handling the judge...

the best way to handle those things is tobe honest and remorseful. they usually feel bad. let the cops have their power trip...

I drive a cab (drunk bus) on the weekendsand I get pulled over almost every weekend. I know i'm less likely to get a ticket because of that but I never try to make excuses to the cop. I know I was doing something wrong and he knows I was doing something wrong. You can't try to justify it to him or he'll try to prove you wrong andhe'll write you up everytime.

Garage door openers? They should all be RF or line of sight IR... I don't see them messing with a laser very effectively. Any idea how it worked?
