Default ticking turbo

So I have a ticking sound again, this time its in perfect sync with when my turbo spools up. Could this be related to sticky lifters? I plan to run some seafoam through the car this weekend and change the oil, but I don't to kill my turbo before I am ready to buy a K04 or a bt. Any thoughts on whether I need to change any oil lines or the like?

thanks

Both the lifters and the turbo noise could be slugde related. If you hear noise from the turbo, the turbo probably wont last long. You can try replacing the turbo feed line. It gets plugged up blocking oil flow to the turbo.

Well I am not sure the noise is from the turbo. Its the same sound as sticky lifters, it just occurrs when the turbo is spooling up. Incidently when I remember to turn my car on 15 mins before work and its already warm when I get into it there is no sound.

Now to refind that turbo oil line replacement guide I once had bookmarked...
