Default Tie Rods & Sensors &vCluster

I have a 00 A4 2.8 with 51,000 and I need to get new Tie Rod ends for both sides. Where can go to get theses on line the dealer is asking me about 100 for each one.
Next my check engine light came on and they said that I need to replace both converters, pre converter 02 sensors and coils. How much with this cost a guy and is there anywhere I can go to get these parts cheaper than the dealer is asking for? If I wanted to do one now and the others later because of cost which should I get done first?
Also in my dash I need S Cluster??
Talk about a nice oil change check up
Thanks

I just checked ECStuning.com, and it seems there prices aren't much better. If you can get the part numbers, I would suggest buying from http://www.impexfap.com They sell OEM Audi parts for much less than the dealer. The tie rods can problably wait. You will want to replace the cat and o2 sensors though, as your fuel economy may go down.

cat? It said on my check engine sheet converters and pre converter? I am little confused on that.
So which should I get done first? coils, o2, coils?

I got my outter tie rods (6 months ago) replaced and now they said I need to do my inner and to do that I need to get the assembly.
Do you know anything about the S Cluster in my dash, do I just need to get a light or is this a chip?

thanks for the help

First thing I would do is find a non-dealer shop that specializes in VW or Audi and have them check the car.

This may be a shock, but some facilities have been known to pad their bill buy suggesting replacement of every part that could possibly have anything to do with the code.

You might want to consider purchasing your own Vag-com so you can pull you own codes. Either that, or get real friendly with somone local who has one.

Checi the link below. The price of admission is usually a 6 pack.

linky

By the way, catalytic converters are covered by the separate emissions warranty which goes much longer (too lazy to check buy should be 80K+ miles or 8-10 years), at least in the US>

Ignition coils might be a recall. Check with the dealer.
