Timing belt replacement 2000 1.8T
Had this done at 84,000 miles. Car had the "updated" tensioner in it. I took a close look at the parts. Belt was in excellent condition, no wear, cracks or chipped teeth. It was stretched to a small degree. Tensioner was firm and rollers were free of binding. Water pump looked in good condition too.
Got the timing belt kit from ECS tuning. By the time I added in the orange stuff, and the idler roller parts and front engine seals and the accessory belts the total was about 300 dollars.
Installation was another 320.
