tire size
Yeah you could probably do it... I am sure you could do it if you aren't lowering it. I have never heard of a car where you can't go a little wider. But if you plan on dropping the car, who knows... But, you can always just turn the wheel in either direction to its furthest point, and inspect how much room you have.
I considered 245's but was not convinced they would fit so went with 235's instead (mounted on 19x8.5'w with 38MM offset). The extra .39 inches would push out each edge of the tire by .2 inches, which would probably fit for stock or sport suspension without rubbing, but I would recommend careful measuring if you plan on lowering. If you are using a different offset, then use this offset calculator to determine the impact.
BTW, I find that the fender wells are nicely filled out with the 235's, and so I am glad I didn't go wider.
