The guy at ECS tunning told me 8 qts to fill my Manual 5 Speed tranny, I read on the Forums its only 2.5... that seams low please give me some help Im going to be putting everything back together...

 

You only have to fill it 2.5 quarts if you doing a rear prop shaft seal or something. If you completely drain the tranny its about 6-7 liters to fill it back up. Just fill it until it comes out the square hole.

 

what squar whole? I have about 3 fill plugs on this car, I filled it and its coimg out of the vent when I tip the tranny up a bit.. I asume thats to much..lol where is this square hole

 

Its on the tail on the passenger's side of the tranny. You can use a 3/8's ratchet and an extention to take it out. Some trannys have 3 plugs, some have only 1.

I work like 80 hours a week it sucks..

I put the 2.8 tranny in my car with a new aeb head, was going to rebuild the bottom end but it looked mint re did all the vacume lines and all seals and gaskets.
dose anyone have a pic of this thing.. Im going to have to drain the whole thing ...
