All my gears are lit up on the panel and it seems like the transmission won't shift into the fifth gear. Someone said that when all light are illuminated, the transmission is in some sort of "save mode". Does anyone know if I can get some sort of error code reading before trying to find out what the problem is? Also, is there any way to reset it?

your tip could be shorted out, did you wash anything inside your engine anytime soon?

try to get someone w/ a VAG-COM to scan you car.

If there is corroision on some contacts you may have to clean them out

 

no did u over rev the car u kno like u thought u where in tip but u where in D and u shhifted to neutral and over rev the car
if its nuthing serious the safe mode should go away

 

The shorted tip does make sence. We had some flooding two days ago, where i see this could have happenend. If so, is there any way to reset it?

Man hope for the best expect the worst Mine did that and i had to do a full rebuild.
